To Light Their Way - Nearing Completion

I am heading toward completion of my work from Exodus 13.


Color and shadow, just details remain.

I have been working to tie together the foreground and background elements of the painting. I washed some reds and warmer blues into the ground and sky to give an impression of reflected light. The pillar received the same blues in the shadow areas to push it back into its surroundings. All that remains are some final details in the shadows and a few more color washes.
