Art is a Gift

Art is a gift that allows us to take joy in creating something beautiful, just as God.

God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. (Genesis 1:31 NIV)

God finds pleasure in His craftsmanship; forming life on an empty canvas. Modeled in His image, it is no surprise that we too have a desire to create. This thought has captured my mind lately, and I wish to pursue it more. I feel greatly gifted; not as an artist, but as one who is able to enjoy the act of creativity in freedom. It is not a requirement or a command; something to be accomplished or completed. It is a joy that can be shared. What a great gift to receive!
