Taking Shape

The underpainting is complete and ready for lines to be added:

I really enjoy this part of the process, as pen and ink drawing was my first love in art. Carving in a hard line brings back much of the interest I find in shapes and design. As I moved more toward paint as the medium of choice, the interplay of lines never lost my focus.
