Three as One

Here is a quick sketch for a second commission request. The concept is pretty cute, as the painting is a gift for a friend's fiance. Conceptually, he wants to convey that the relationship centers on God's love, thus the intertwining of two hearts centered on the cross. It is nice to be able to work on something lighter on occasion.

As for the execution of the work, I am looking at another stained-glass approach; starting with some simple underpainting, and adding glazes to bring out a reflective glow. The glazes should help separate the heart elements, providing better definition of the concept.

I hope the concept is acceptable, as the painting looks like fun.
