Three as One: the beginnings

After making a new canvas this weekend, I started work on a commissioned painting mentioned late in March. The concept is an overlapping of two hearts with a cross at the center.

My original plan was to work on this alongside my last painting, but I found the three panels enough to concentrate on for the moment. It will have a similar feel, with the vibrancy of stained-glass. On the left is the initial paint sketch on the canvas panel, next step will be to add in the individual sections of color. Not much to show, but I like it so far.
